awwww... crap!

Well, here's my 16 yr. old's prized '84 Caddy after he crunched it today. The good news is that he and everyone else involved in the accident are fine. Ian LOVES this car like it is his baby. He bought it in March. It had only 28,000 miles on it and was in beautiful condition. He piddled with it all the time and was always planning the next thing he wanted to do to it. Poor kid...

Having kids that drive cars pushes the parental concern levels to the roof... and this is why! It is always in the back of your mind when they are out in their cars. If you could know this feeling before you ever got pregnant in the first place, I doubt the human race would continue...

But, as I said, everyone is okay and that is what really matters. But my boy's pretty sad and that makes me sad and it's a dreary rainy day and I wish I could make it all better! Parenthood is always such a roller coaster ride and I don't like roller coasters. I long a nice, long, straight road where you can see well ahead and all you see is sunny skies... but that'd be heaven, wouldn't it?
Tonight I will give my son an extra tight hug and be very grateful that he is here and fine.
xoxo~Dale

No one was hurt!! This is his 3rd accident in one year! 2 were his fault, one not...
Poor kid. He is pretty bummed out.
We are so glad that he is unhurt!!
The world is so perilous!

I am writing this comment through tears. My oldest son was coming home from studying at the university and he was struck broadside by a drunk driver. The Lord was with him and he walked away without a single broken bone and only one small scratch on his face. Unfortunately, though, he suffers pain and can't run like he used to. We are so grateful that he is still alive.

I am so glad that no one was injured in your son's accident. Keep him covered in prayer.

your son has my son's sympathy. after spending every free moment of the past year rebuilding his precious truck from the engine to the transmission, interior & body work, to spiffy new paint job - he drove it for two weeks before some one ran into him while he was stopped to help another vehicle with a flat. his pretty truck was totalled before his eyes. so he knows how your son is feeling. it's so hard to see their hard work & pride be damaged, but thank goodness they are safe & unhurt.

I'm relieved to hear that no one was hurt...that's the kind of outcome one wants if there is an accident:) But, it sure does make for a bad day when you look at his car. Poor baby...hope it can be fixed!
