just like magic

My posts have returned. How strange. But I like magic, so no worries...

new on ETSY

Here's a Frida Kahlo bracelet I made a few weeks ago. I finally got around to listing it on ETSY.
I have so many things I need to list, but the creating part is so much more satisfying. I need an upload elf. Where do find them? Please write me if you know!

hmmmm....

So, where are my posts this morning? It appears they have vanished. Odd indeed. Perhaps the Boredom Police have take them into custody. If the bail is set at me writing something interesting , I fear they will be left to languish behind bars for a considerable time.

off to school

Ah, the house is silent save for the hounds rustling about and the household machinery thrumming along. My tots are off to school once more. Will, now a fifth grader, was excited to see his friends again. Ian headed off to the land of freshmen with less joy. He was, in fact, downright aggravated by the whole deal. Kate is off to her first day of college with her insanely heavy tomes and a grin.
Here's Will and the bus stop gang. He's the one on the left with the goofy smile. Hussain is next to him. They are buddies and are delighted to be in the same class this year.

As for me, no school, but much art work awaits. I miss the kids. It is too quiet and this will be a long day.

Now, if only the computer fairy would show up to upload these to my shop...

my flock

This is my bird collection... all from thrift stores. Above them on the wall are two George Edwards bird etchings that are actually NOT from the thrift store. I guess if I really loved these birdies I'd dust them more often. I like to think the dust adds a nice hazy sort of patina.

favorite things

I adore this little village. The buildings are 1 or 2 inches tall. Actually, I'd like
to live in the green one...

listed on ETSY

This was a fun piece to create. I love pastels. Honestly all I ever want to do is make art, hang out with my kids, go to the beach and read. Sounds like paradise to me...

marvelous discovery!!

Who knew such a place existed?? I'm off to pack my bags.

Yes, it is a burden to be Queen of Smartass, but I accept my role with grace and the help of my lady-in-waiting, Ms. Fancy Cocktail.
